The IBEX evacuation chair is designed for emergency evacuation in buildings where conventional stairways or standard evacuation chairs may not be suitable. With the ability to provide controlled stair ascent and descent, it is particularly suited to narrow staircases, spiral stairs, historic buildings and other locations where space and access can present additional challenges.
Designed for two-person operation and with a maximum user weight of 159kg, the IBEX uses a specialist track system to provide controlled, step-by-step movement on stairs. Its adjustable track brake allows the level of resistance to be adapted to the passenger weight, while telescopic and front grab handles help both operators maintain control throughout the evacuation.
