MMS Medical handover power chair to Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind to support their training

We were proud to mark a special handover this week as David O’Callaghan, General Manager at MMS Medical, presented a Quantum Rehab UK Kozmo power chair to Liam O’Leary, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor at Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind

This Quantum Kozmo will play a vital role within Irish Guide Dogs’ training facility, supporting the preparation of highly skilled assistance dogs for clients with mobility requirements. By incorporating a powered wheelchair into their training environment, the dogs gain essential exposure to real-world mobility equipment—helping ensure seamless partnerships between clients and their future assistance dogs.

Celebrating 50 years this year, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind (IGDB) is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to enabling people who are vision impaired and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence. Commenting at the handover, David said
