Duo Mini

Following the unprecedented success of the Duo Minor and Duo Major range of multi-positioning chairs we are pleased to introduce the Duo Mini for young children as the latest addition to our Duo family.

The purpose of the Duo Mini is to provide maximum postural support and positioning for young children who are unable to maintain a good midline position and require additional support. The Duo Mini meets these requirements by combining the core sitting principles of correct seat height, seat depth, seat width, arm height and back height with key features like headrest angle adjustment, back angle recline and electrically powered tilt-in-space and legrest elevation to create a supportive yet comfortable seating solution.Tilt-in-space is a unique pivoting system that provides a reclined resting position whilst maintaining posture and pelvic stability. Weight can be distributed over a larger contact surface area reducing shearing forces on the skin, making it a simple yet effective way to combat the build up of pressure. The benefit of this action being electrically operated is that the hand control can be used by either the carer or, where possible, the user thereby encouraging independence.

In addition to the pressure relieving properties of the tilt-in-space, pressure relief in the seat module can be enhanced with the incorporation of the highly advanced Intelli-Gel® seat module for those at very high risk of developing pressure problems through to the Transflo gel cushion and Reflexion foam seat modules for those at medium to high risk. Alternatively the Duo enables the user to integrate their own pressure relieving seat cushion into the seat module of the chair or apply a flat seat board upon which it can be effectively used.
