MMS Medical was established in 1986 by Gerard O’Herlihy and is now Ireland’s leading supplier and distributor of mobility, rehabilitation and community care products. The company is Irish owned, professionally managed and currently has bases in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Belfast with product specialists and service engineers based throughout Ireland.
The company operate on a countrywide basis and provide a truly comprehensive product range. Extensive levels of stock are maintained, with all ancillary products, accessories and spare parts to ensure prompt and efficient supply, service and maintenance.
MMS Medical also boast one of the largest dedicated service, installation and maintenance teams in the country, providing service and back up for hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and private individuals.
The markets served by MMS are continually evolving, with ever increasing demands for value, service, professional, ethical and quality standards. To meet and surpass these challenges, the company invested substantially in 2006 with brand new, state of the art head-office premises in Little Island, Cork. Facilities include offices, a warehouse and distribution centre, equipment workshop, service centre and a superb customer showroom facility which is open to all visitors. In 2007, the Dublin premises underwent complete refurbishment and extension to provide for increasing demand from customers. Additionally, MMS Medical employed several more staff with extensive industry experience.
2008 saw expansion continue with a new base in Antrim, Northern Ireland. 2009 resulted in a change in premises for the Galway base to ensure improved customer service and logistical efficiency.
This investment and commitment, combined with improved performance, efficiency and high levels of customer service continue to provide growth. Despite the recession, 2010 began with expansion of the team in Northern Ireland and continues with new brands being brought to market through-out all Ireland.
